Very cool indeed - but I have a question. Are these digital recorders (and the other equipment) practical for regular ole print reporters such as myself who may or may not be using it for multimedia purposes? Also, what's the price range we're talking here? We're intro journalists: money is tight! But good idea - keep Tech Corner coming!!!

The M-Audio and the Zoom will set you back. But for an online media person, it's a tool that will eventually pay for itself. You are looking at $300 - $400 for the M-Audio. The Zoom, surprisingly, is a bit cheaper some places.

You may have to eat Ramen for two months to afford it, but it's worth it.

As for print reporters, having a recorder like this would just be showing off. LOL! But I'd say you'd be able to store and review your interviews a lot easier with an M-Audio.
